As for the game play, Sakura Day Mahjong is just like every Mahjong game there is. You need to find the pairs of the tiles that are in the board in order to take them off, and earn points. The game rewards you, of course, if you’re able to spot pairs fast enough to do a streak. What it does is multiply your points so that you get more points than you would when you take some time to spot one pair after spotting another.
The game offers a free Hint button that will make it easier for you to find the paired tiles. When you press the Hint button, all the tiles that cannot be currently paired are immediately darkened. You could call this as some sort of tunnel vision. At least, you need to keep your eyes only on the highlighted tiles so it is, to some degree, easier for you to find the pairs.
What if you run out of pairs? The game automatically shuffles the game for you, using the free Shuffle power-up. You can then try your hand again in looking for the tiles that you should be pairing.
Each level has goals. There are three of them to be exact. One is to earn a specific number of points. Another would be to free a specific number of golden tiles, while the last one is to try to finish the game within a certain time limit. Meet at least one of these goals and move forward through the game. Failure to meet these goals, of course, will not unlock the next level.
Completing the Zen experience, of course, is the traditional Asian music that’s playing in the background. Chances are, you probably did not notice it playing. It’s not meant to catch attention – it’s meant to entice a meditative mood that will help you play the game in a relaxed state.
