Mahjong games are pretty popular and one of the biggest signs of their popularity is the fact that they’re available on multiple platforms and one of these happens to be Facebook. In this article we’ll be talking about the three best mahjong games that we ran into on Facebook and shedding some light on why you should be playing them.

Before discussing the games themselves, first off it’d be worth talking a little bit about how they managed to get a spot onto this list. One of the key things that we liked a lot about each and every one of these games is the fact that they’re basically perfect on a technical level. Throughout our play-through we never ran into a single bug, glitch or any other issue that would have hindered our progress or experience. Everything was as smooth as it can get.

Another thing that allowed these games to grab a spot on this list is the fact that they all have unique settings. They don’t just copy the stuff that other games have done and then replicate it, they instead have their own themes, their own settings and of course their own artwork to go along with it. This uniqueness was something that we loved quite a bit about these three games.

Onto the games themselves, the following are, in our eyes, the top 3 mahjong games on Facebook.

Mahjong Trails

In Mahjong Trails, you get to go on a safari across the world and explore many beautiful sights. The great thing about this game isn’t just that it has an incredible setting but it’s also the fact that it feels like a truly ‘modern’ mahjong game. Even though it feels like a standard mahjong game at its core, there’s a lot more to it than meets the eye. Mahjong Trails openly embraces the idea of power-ups and you can notice this in the gameplay as you’re given access to a pretty massive arsenal of power-ups to use during a level.

Mahjong Zen

Although most mahjong games of today are trying to put together new and innovative formulas that would allow them to stand out from the crowd, there are some that still focus solely on providing players with a relaxed and casual experience similar to the traditional mahjong releases. Mahjong Zen is one of those games and it’s definitely one of the best. The game feels relaxed and can be enjoyed by both casual and hardcore audiences. The visuals are fantastic and the soundtracks that accompany the gameplay just elevate the experience to a whole new level.

Mahjong Pirates

Mahjong Pirates is great for a variety of reasons. First off is of course the pirate theme that it has going for it. While yes a pirate based theme is pretty common amongst mahjong games, this one still feels head and shoulders above the rest simply because of how solid the execution is. The overall setting is accompanied by some top quality artwork and fantastic pirate music that all can enjoy. Add onto this the addictive mahjong gameplay that it offers and you have a game that can keep anyone busy for hours.

All said and done, while the three games mentioned above might certainly be the cream of the crop, we still want to point out that most mahjong games of today are great fun to play so you should definitely give them a try.
